Rechvix is free, self-hosted billing, inventory, accounting, and GST-compliance software. It’s AGPL-3.0 open source — no license fee, no per-invoice charge, and no feature paywall — and you run it on your own server, not a Rechvix-hosted account.
What “free” actually means here
There’s no metering, because there’s no billing relationship to meter. You install Rechvix on hardware you control — a home server, an office machine, a VPS you already pay for — and the same software runs whether you write ten invoices a month or ten thousand. The trade-off, stated plainly: you (or whoever manages your IT) are responsible for keeping that server running, backed up, and updated, the same as any self-hosted software.
What’s included, not gated behind a paid tier
- Quotations to invoices. Quotations, proforma, tax, cash and credit invoices, plus credit/debit notes and sales & purchase returns — the full document lifecycle a real billing counter needs, not just a single invoice screen.
- POS billing. Fast counter billing for walk-in sales, built on the same invoice engine as the rest of the platform — so a POS sale and a B2B tax invoice post through identical, correctness-checked logic.
- Multi-company, multi-branch. One deployment can run several legal entities and branches with proper document numbering per entity, not a single-tenant assumption bolted on later.
- Full GST compliance — CGST/SGST/IGST, e-Invoice, and e-Way Bill generation — is part of the same free product, not an add-on.
