Installation
Install Rechvix on a server you control.
Two supported ways to run the server today, plus a desktop build that is not yet distributed. Core business records stay in your PostgreSQL database.
Docker Compose
With Docker installed, read install.sh first, then run:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Raktim94/rechvix/main/install.sh | bash
- The installer clones the repository, generates the Compose secrets and starts PostgreSQL, migrations, the app and the worker.
- Open the address it prints and complete the
/setupscreen. - Review TLS, secure cookies, backups and bootstrap settings before exposing it publicly.
Machines that also need Docker and git can use the Linux/macOS or Windows quickstart scripts in the repository. The deployment guide covers manual installation and operator responsibilities.
CasaOS and ZimaOS
Use the platform's custom Compose install and paste this manifest URL:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Raktim94/rechvix/main/casaos/docker-compose.yml
- Pins 0.14.24 for server, migration and worker, published for amd64 and arm64.
- Generates the database and encryption secrets on first boot.
- Open
http://<your-server>:8090and complete setup.
Back up both /DATA/AppData/rechvix/postgres and /DATA/AppData/rechvix/secrets. Keep the secrets when upgrading. Removing application data can destroy records or make encrypted data unrecoverable.
Desktop
The packaged desktop app bundles the Go server and a local PostgreSQL database, starts them on launch and opens the product's own business setup screen, so it can run locally without a separate hosted server. The repository builds and tests a Windows MSIX in CI (install, launch, single-instance and uninstall checks), and ships with a larger download because it carries PostgreSQL.
Status: no public installer or store listing is verified yet, so this site does not link one. See the desktop documentation to build it from source. The browser app, in contrast, always needs a connection to your Rechvix server.
Backups and safe recovery
- Export an encrypted backup from the Backup page and store it away from the app's disk. Keep the encryption secrets; without them it cannot be recovered. An operator must enable backup support.
- Restoring replaces the whole instance database, including every organisation. Schedule downtime, take a current backup first and type RESTORE only when you mean it.
- Scheduled, verified, encrypted backups with retention are available as an opt-in worker feature. Practise a restore on a spare machine before you need one.
FAQ
Installation questions
What do I need before installing?
A Linux or macOS machine with Docker for the installer script, or a CasaOS or ZimaOS server. Windows can use the PowerShell quickstart, which runs the server stack in WSL2. Plan for TLS, secure cookies and backups before exposing it to the internet.
Which architectures are supported?
The CasaOS manifest pins version 0.14.24 and its server, migration and worker images are published for amd64 and arm64.
Can I upgrade without losing data?
Yes if you keep your data. On CasaOS keep both the PostgreSQL folder and the secrets folder. Removing the application data can destroy records or make encrypted data unrecoverable.
Is there a downloadable desktop installer?
Not yet. A Tauri 2 desktop shell that bundles the server and local PostgreSQL is in the repository, and CI builds and tests a Windows MSIX package, but a public download has not been published. Until it is, run the web app from a server or build the desktop app from source.
